Fortuna Bakery & Cafe - Hunters Creek, located in Orlando, FL, is a Colombian culinary gem that has sparked mixed reviews from patrons. Customers praise its offering of freshly baked goods, particularly the passion fruit mousse and guava cheese turnover, which many describe as delightful and beautifully presented. The enthusiastic service from certain staff members, like Briana, has also earned high marks for making dining enjoyable with personalized suggestions.
Yet, the café's transition has left some customers wary. A significant concern raised by Ricardo Rojas highlights a dip in authenticity, noting the shift in personnel and affecting the overall experience, particularly concerning traditional Colombian dishes like chorizo. This sentiment has resonated with others who reminisce over past eras when the establishment was run by its original Colombian owners. The consistency of service remains another talking point; feedback highlights fluctuating hospitality, which can swing from warm to indifferent.
Despite these critiques, Fortuna Bakery continues to uphold its reputation for quality baked goods, drawing loyal customers who appreciate its offerings. If you’re in search of freshly baked bread and a diverse menu, it remains worth a visit—just be prepared for a variable dining experience.

La Fortuna Bakery was founded by Colombians. Isn’t a Colombian bakery any more. You can feel the difference as soon as you walk in. In the Loop Fortuna Bakery, personnel including the “Chef” are Venezuelan nationals, that doesn’t have any idea of how to treat the customers or know anything about Colombian recipes and flavors. Recently I ordered a chorizo that wasn’t cooked properly. I returned to the register to let them know about my disgusting experience with the raw meat, but instead of listening to me, they started arguing that the Colombian chorizo, was cooked is normally served in such disgusting way. It’s sad that the original owners, handed over to that people, such a good restaurant. This individuals lack the knowledge of how to deal with this kind of business. I don’t recommend this place to anyone that loves the Colombian food.

Ordered the passion fruit mousse, guava cheese turnover, and guava cheese pannoleta and all were super good and they all looked like there were baked fresh this morning. They have a lot of baked good varieties with gluten free option and reduced sugar. The ladies who helped us were really nice

I’ve been going to Fortuna Bakery for the past 7 years, and the bread has always been amazing. It’s fresh, consistent, and one of the reasons I keep coming back. The only thing that can be hit or miss is the service. Some days the staff is warm and friendly, and other times it feels like you’re bothering them just by ordering. It doesn’t stop me from coming in, but I do wish the vibe was a little more consistent. Still, great spot for good bread.

Found this place on Yelp, a bit of a drive away from where we were staying and out of our way to the airport, very busy place and most everyone spoke Spanish except for us. I'd say this is a popular place for locals. Everyone was really nice, we didn't know the protocol but certain items you get and go and certain items are made fresh. So there's a wait yeah ours was a wait a bit longer than they mentioned and longer than hoped for but when it came out, very hit a fresh and way bigger than expected. The breakfast flatbread was stacked high with fluffy scrambled eggs nice pieces of real bacon and cheese. The breakfast croissant was big and nice soft egg. This place has amazing looking desserts and pastries items, coffee and coffee drinks. Nice and clean and super friendly staff

If you're on the hunt for the best empanadas in Orlando, look no further than Fortuna Bakery l. This cozy Colombian bakery offers a slice of home with its perfectly crispy, golden empanadas that are packed with flavorful fillings. From beef to chicken and cheese, each bite is a delight—seasoned just right and always fresh. The dough has the perfect crunch, and the fillings are generous, leaving you satisfied but wanting more. Pair them with their homemade aji sauce for a spicy kick, and you've got yourself a little taste of Colombia right here in Florida. Beyond the empanadas, the bakery offers a wide variety of traditional Colombian pastries, breads, and desserts. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a coffee with friends, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes this place feel like home. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Colombian flavors! 5/5 stars

Enjoyed the visit to Fortuna Bakery! We got there early for breakfast and had quite the spread of items. All tasted fresh and delicious. I can’t tell you which ones were my favorite because a lot of them were great! I suggest you try a few items when you go, you won’t regret it!
